Tae suddenly remembered someone else she once met long ago.
“Can you talk?” She wanted to make sure this time. Was he another strange cannibal, like the one from long ago…?
Serph looked at her for a moment, debating whether or not he should really answer.
“Yes…I can talk,” he eventually said. “Though I usually prefer not to.”
It was just personal preference really. He was more of an action guy than a conversational guy.
Tae seemed pleasantly shocked.
“Well, I am glad to hear cat doesn’t have your tongue!” Even just his ability to speak, made her feel a tiny bit more secure in his character.
But it still didn’t answer her question. Who was this person?
She cleared her throat, trying to fill the silence.
“I am Kichou Asakura, of the Daily Capitol.” She finally said, sweetly.

Tae scratched the back of her head.
She wasn’t entirely sure what to think of the man in front of her.
His outfit was…really wild. Was he a street performer? It’d make sense, except there were no festivals or holidays being celebrated.
Finally she let out a soft sigh.
After the doppleganger incident, she thought she could stomach something paranormal without fainting.
“Are you a shikigami? Or maybe a ghost?”

Shikigami? Ghost? What was she on about? A ghost was…a dead person wasn’t it? Serph wasn’t sure how he knew that, but he definitely knew it and had no idea how he seemed anything like a ghost in anyway.
He shook his head. Not a ghost, not a whatever that other thing was.
Tae suddenly remembered someone else she once met long ago.

“Today has already been long, and it’s barely past 4:00.. I wonder if I should visit the dessert parlor while on my patrol…”
“Would you mind if I joined you?”
“Ah, Tae-san.”

“Of course. I’d be delighted to have company.”
Tae grinned at Raidou. “My treat, then!”

Well that was odd. This woman had the same hair color as that girl did. And he’d thought hair like that was rare. Maybe it was just something they were wrong about all along. It wouldn’t be the first time something new had ocurred in their lives, though it seemed unknown things were happening a lot more frequently as of late than they usually were.
Serph found himself staring at the odd-looking woman before him. How…interesting she was.
Tae scratched the back of her head.

[Here I am! Someone, send me a starter to my submission? I think submission is open…Gah.]

“I could be your honey…”

She mumbled inaudibly.
tubetopraidou:
Had Raidou heard what Tae said, his answer might have been ‘I’d like that.’
“I’m sorry you had to find out this way.”
It was better than being aught in the act though, so he wasn’t complaining much.

“I don’t mind, kiddo.” Was all Tae could muster up.
Her face felt hot and her mouth was dry.
But at least her answer was honest.

“I have absolutely nothing else to offer” She lied. In her defense, she really didn’t think she had anything else to offer.
“Well, wait a second…there is this strange story I’ve been working on. It seems right up your ally.” Her only problem was, it wasn’t a printable story. Not as it was.
Narumi wasn’t too sure if she was being coy or not. There was never any telling with dames really. That’s one mind he could never read.

“Even when you were goin’ on and on about those stems a tic ago? Sounds like a lot of bushwa to me.” Shakes his head, “So, if I accept dinner is that going to be like a date then?” Grins.
Though her last sentence certainly got his interest, “Strange? Well, I see a lot of strange things, but question is if its worth a dime.. Though if it’s worth a listen I’m all ears then.”
“You old pervert, If that’s what you wanted…” She gritted her teeth.
It was moreso because she found the old man slightly attractive, even through all his very visible flaws.
“Sure. A date, that’ll work.” She offered a stale smile of her own.
“Well…I have no idea if it’s strange. But recently, people have been having food products stolen. Loaf of bread here, bag of rice there, an odd turnip or radish. And whoever is taking them, is leaving Wara Ningyo’s behind.”
Tae shuddered.
